Public School teachers are great and they give their all to the children they teach, but the odds are stacked against them with such high student ratios.  Many children need more personalized attention than will ever be available to them in the public school environment.  This is particularly true in the elementary age group, where children need to build strong academic foundations upon which later learning abilities depend.  Your alternatives at this time are larger private schools, homeschooling, private tutoring, or small private schools such as mine.  Each alternative works for those who choose to make the sacrifices necessary.  I commend parents who bravely take the less traveled road for the benefit of their child(ren).

Copper Hills Private School in Pebble Creek has one small class in a safe learning environment.  I strongly emphasize basic skills in Reading and Writing. I am exploring a new avenue this year where I will hold classes three days a week, three hours each day. One day will emphasize History, another English Foundations, and the third Science. The Science day will be with a co-op group of about twenty children, divided in three classes. Children will experience Science, History,  Language Arts, Life Skills, Literature, with some Art and Music.  Basic religious standards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, such as Faith in God and Patriotism, are encouraged.  I also value and encourage personal integrity.
